Back when I started cleaning windows in 1990 I knew that I would be helping people feel good about their homes and making their windows shine. The praise I was given instilled a feeling of personal satisfaction of a job well done. Back then the name of my business was Best View Window Cleaning. What I didn’t realize at the time was the need for other services that comfortably fit into my business plan. After my first few jobs I had to change the name of the business to Best View Services because I wasn’t just a window cleaner anymore.
I’ve been a member of an International Window Cleaning Forum where we share information and tips to aid in our Window Cleaning businesses. Because I keep up on this vast pool of information, I’m always improving my window cleaning techniques and equipment. As the new technology and advances in window cleaning becomes available, and they are proven to work, then and only then will I implement it’s use for my clients. Not all change is good, that’s the reason that I wait for others to make an informed decisions on a particular product or method. Once it has proven itself to produce better results, and or be a time saver, that is when I take full advantage of the new technique or tool.
Pictured above is Best View Services newest acquisition. This is state-of-the-art in window cleaning technology. A 47 foot, Carbon Fiber, Ultra Pure, Water Fed, Window Cleaning Pole. (WFP) Taking care of this 3 and 1/2 story home office.
This WFP will allow me to clean windows that are 52 feet from where I’m standing and will allow me to approach new potential clients that previously were unattainable, such as St. Helena hospital. It will allow me to do a far better job, and at the same time, keep me safely on the ground. It eliminates the need for a ladder or the expense of some kind of motorized lift.
I’ve loved being the owner of Best View Services for the past 20 years and with all the eagerness and excitement of a child awaiting Christmas day, I look forward to at least another 20 years full of the same joy and satisfaction of a job well done.
